Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in Missouri to oversee the eyeglass department and lead a team of opticians and sales associates. The role focuses on driving profit, managing promotions, and maintaining high service standards.

You will collaborate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office to report on store performance and staffing. A strong background in optical sales, leadership, and financial understanding is required.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to lead, coach and build strong associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations and performance standards.

• Excellent organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Convey commitment to outstanding customer service and ensure the same from all associates.
• Ensure quality standards, review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting as required.
• Coordinate store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising; inform associates and doctors of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day functions are completed.
• Assist the General Manager with staffing needs, recruiting and retaining high-caliber staff.
• Motivate staff to exceed performance standards.

Job Description

What would you do? - The Specifics

• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
