Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in Huntsville, TX. You will lead the eyeglass department, oversee promotions and staffing, and ensure top customer service and policy compliance.

You will manage a team of opticians and sales associates, review financial reports, and coordinate with store leadership to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical sales or eyewear environment.
• Supervising experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for team management.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and budgets.
• Proven problem solving across varied scopes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure team adherence.
• Review quality standards and enforce remakes and policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reports.
• Manage promotions, advertising and visual merchandising; inform associates and doctors.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day tasks completed.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruitment and retention of staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary to meet licensing or credentialing requirements in some locations.

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
