Job summary

Maersk seeks a logistics solutions designer to create optimal DC layouts and operation designs driven by business needs, while meeting service levels and budget limits.

You will compare storage options financially and demonstrate solutions via CAD and PPT, with internal collaboration and customer-facing presentations as needed. The role values data analysis, process improvement, and investment planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Logistics, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years logistics related experience with at least 1–3 years in solution design.
• Experience in logistics consulting or 3PL is a plus.
• Experience in supply chain design or transportation management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design optimal DC layout and operation solutions based on business requirements within cost and service level targets.
• Compare and evaluate storage solutions from a financial perspective.
• Collect and analyze data; demonstrate solutions using CAD, PPT, etc.
• Communicate solutions internally and present to customers if needed.
• Research latest logistics technologies and apply suitable ones to the solution.
• Plan and recommend investments to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Job description

Key Responsibility: 主要职责

• To design the optimum DC layout & operation solution based on business requirement， meet the service level agreement and within overall cost budget.
  根据业务需求，设计最优的仓储布局和操作解决方案，满足服务水平和成本限制的约束条件。
• To compare and evaluate different solutions from financial aspect.
  对于不同的仓储解决方案进行财务评估比较。
• Conduct data collecting & analysis, solution demonstration via CAD, PPT etc.
  方案相关的数据收集，分析，以及通过CAD，PPT等展现方案。
• Internal communication of solution and present to customer if needed.
  公司内部各部门沟通方案，如有需要向客户汇报方案。
• Survey on latest logistics technology and implement to solution.
  进行物流新技术调研，将合适的新技术应用到方案中。
• To plan and recommend investments that will achieve sustainable cost savings and process efficiency improvements.
  提出能够实现可持续成本节约以及流程优化的建议和计划。

Professional Qualification and Experience: 职业资格以及经验：

• Bachelor degree or above, major in Logistics, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent.
  本科学历(或以上)，物流管理、工业工程、计算机科学或相关专业。
• At least 3 years or above logistics related working experience, at least 1 year focus on solution design.
  具备至少5年以上相关工作经验，至少3年专注于解决方案的工作。
• Working experience in logistics consulting company or 3PL will is an advantage.
  有在物流咨询公司或者第三方物流（合同物流）公司工作经验者优先。
• Working experience in supply chain design or transportation/courier management is an advantage.
  有供应链规划经验，或者运输企业/快递企业的运作管理经验者优先。

Skills and Knowledge:

• Must be skillful on understanding logistics requirement customer focused and transferring to solution design, be passionate about Process analysis, Data analysis, MHE evaluation and Solution design.
  需能够熟练地理解客户的物流需求，并转化成解决方案，对于流程分析，数据分析，设备评估和方案设计方面的工作有兴趣。
• Master the methodology of warehouse solution design.
  掌握仓储规划的方法论。
• Possess some knowledge on E-commerce DC operations and E-commerce related warehouse management system knowledge
  具备一定的电商仓库运营知识，并且熟悉仓库相关管理（WMS）系统。
• Should be an experienced user of design tools such as AutoCAD，Visio
  熟练操作相关设计工具，比如:CAD，Visio。
• Advanced Excel and VBA Skills an advantage
  熟练操作Excel以及VBA优先。
• Second foreign language and financial knowledge an advantage.
  第二外语或者财务知识背景者优先；
• Should have exposure to some of the following topics: storage mediums, material handling equipment, space analysis, manpower analysis, inventory/SKU analysis, operational key performance indicators, continuous improvement initiatives, transportation methods, packaging, secondary operations, costing.
  了解下列相关术语内容：存储介质、物料搬运设备、空间分析、人力资源分析、库存分析、业务关键绩效指标，持续改进措施，运输方式，包装，再加工，成本。
• Strong independent analytic thinking and ability to present ideas in logical proven way.
