Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Nursing-Management professional to lead daily operations for Behavioral & Mental Health, ensuring safe patient care and efficient patient flow. You will oversee staffing, participate in leadership councils, and collaborate with physicians and teams to support high-quality pediatric care.

Minimum BSN and Georgia RN licensure are required, with BLS and specialty training mandated within specified timelines; management experience preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description

Works under the direction of the Behavioral & Mental Health (BMH) Clinical Operations Manager to facilitate daily operations, including patient flow, staffing assignments, safe patient care, and to promote a healthy work environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of management/administrative experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in pediatric and/or psychiatric nursing experience
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certification Summary
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
  • Marcus Crisis Prevention Program Tier 5 training, or equivalent, within 3 months of employment
  • Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire

  • Acts as clinical resource for BMH patient populations throughout all areas of hospital, including Emergency Department and inpatient areas.
  • Maintains competence to provide and/or assist with clinical care, including acting as Code BERT lead.
