Taco John’s in New Ulm, MN is seeking an Assistant Manager to be in the heart of our operation, opening or closing the store the Olé way, and leading a team of around 20 enthusiastic team members with the General Manager.

You will drive scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting while ensuring top-quality guest experiences and consistent food execution.

What Your Day Actually Looks Like

Forget the droned-out fast-food routine. As our Assistant Manager, you'll be right in the action - opening or closing the store the Olé way, connecting with customers face-to-face, and helping our General Manager lead a team of around 20 enthusiastic team members (including Shift Managers and crew).

You'll be moving, thinking on your feet, and making real decisions. From assisting with scheduling your customer service team to ensuring everyone delivers that quality food experience our customers crave, you're essential to our success. You'll coordinate activities, participate in food prep and assembly, handle financial responsibilities, and create the kind of environment where your team wants to show up and crush it every day.

Yes, working with food can get messy - but that's part of the fun! You'll also be proactive about safety, cleanliness, and helping every team member succeed in their role.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Assistant Manager supporting our General Manager, you'll:

• Help maintain overall management responsibilities to keep the restaurant profitable, efficient, and running smoothly

• Direct, coordinate, and jump into food preparation, order assembly, and customer transactions

• Interview, hire, and train new team members while coordinating daily activities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory control

• Lead by example and actively manage your team to meet budgets and build sales

The Schedule

This Assistant Manager position offers 35-40 hours per week with shifts including 6:30am-2:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, and 2:00pm-10:30pm. We get it - life happens. Whether you have church, sports, school activities, or other commitments, we work with you to create a schedule that ensures your success without sacrificing work-life balance.
