  • Ensure compliance with affordable program requirements.
  • Complete income certifications and recertifications.
  • Handle move-in/move-out paperwork.
  • Collect delinquent accounts and liaise with accounting to ensure rent roll accuracy.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and vacant unit inspections.
  • Maintain confidentiality for resident, property, owner, Guardian information.
  • Record time worked and adhere to timekeeping guidelines.
  • Liaise with corporate departments for teamwork.
  • Strive for process improvements to meet resident needs and company goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by Community Manager or Regional Property Manager.

Guardian has an opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant Manager/Leasing Agent to join our team atVillage on Roeser + 29 Palms! These are two (2) affordable (LIHTC/NSP/HOME) apartment communities in Phoenix, AZ with a combined 134-units.

An Assistant Manager/Leasing Agent’s primary role is to assist the Community Manager with day-to-day operation of the property, administration of resident paperwork, completion of property accounting, reports, work orders and to conduct the day-to-day leasing activities for the property. This includes ensuring good physical appearance and maintenance upkeep of vacant units and coordinating cleaning and repairs of vacant units with the manager and maintenance staff.

Additionally, this position will support the Community Manager in enforcing Guardian Management policies and procedures, and to always adhere to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws. An Assistant Manager/Leasing Agent is responsible for coordinating with other property staff and vendors to provide outstanding customer service to the residents, maintaining excellent curb appeal, providing well-timed and proactive property maintenance, safeguarding the good financial health and stability of the property, confirming timely compliance with all government and property program requirements, and completing all required paperwork and reports on time.

For this position, we are seeking a dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional and communicative. This position requires general knowledge of all property management duties and operations. Previous affordable housing experience, preferred.

Schedule:40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Compensation: Depends on experience.

  • Work with Community Manager and Maintenance staff to coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance, regularly inspect property and vacant apartments and coordinate the work and schedules of property vendors.
  • Follow confidentiality guidelines for all resident, property, owner, and Guardian information at all times.
  • Accurately record time worked, adhere to time keeping guidelines daily.
  • Liaison with corporate departments to provide a team approach to the management of the property.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between departments and with coworkers.
  • Constantly strive for improvements in work process and results to better meet resident needs, ownership goals and objectives, and company standards and expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Community Manager or Regional Property Manager.
