Job summary

Wendy's in Austin, TX is seeking a motivated Assistant General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will recruit and train staff, create and manage schedules, supervise financial controls, and ensure food safety and brand standards. As a leader, you will coach, counsel, and develop the team to achieve personal growth and strong performance, with opportunities for advancement within Wendy's.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Assistant Manager experience in high-volume food service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to work 50–55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a background check and meet state/federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee restaurant's daily operations.
• Maintain day-to-day financial controls.
• Create and manage staff schedules.
• Interview, hire, train and orientate team.
• Oversee coaching, counseling and developing staff and managing team relations.

• Min 1 year Assistant Manager experience (high volume food service concepts preferred)
• Flexibility to work 50-55 hours per week, rotating shifts, incl weekends and holidays (Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas)
• Valid DL in good standing - access to private transportation
• Consent to background screening
• HS diploma or equiv - possess all documents required by state and federal law
• Able to walk and stand for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
