Job summary

Wendy's is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Katy, TX to lead a fast‑paced restaurant team. You will partner with the GM to oversee daily operations, schedules, and financial controls, while driving guest satisfaction and quality service.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of Assistant Manager experience in a high‑volume setting. Expect 50–55 hour weeks, a flexible schedule, and opportunities for advancement within a well‑known national brand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Assistant Manager experience in high‑volume food service.
• Able to work 50–55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license or access to private transportation.
• HS diploma or equivalent; possess all documents required by state and federal law.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in daily restaurant operations and staffing.
• Oversee day‑to‑day financial controls and scheduling.
• Interview, hire, train and orientate team members.
• Coach and develop staff; ensure health and safety standards.
• Maintain food handling and facility management practices.
• Ensure compliance with inspections and company policies.

• Under the direction of the General Manager, the AGM is responsible for supporting the GM in managing the restaurant-s daily operations, including, but not limited to:
• Overseeing restaurant-s daily operations
• Maintain day-to-day financial controls
• Create and manage staff schedules
• Interview, hire, train and orientate team
• Oversee coaching, counseling and developing staff and managing team relations.
• Exercise proper food handling, equipment maintenance and facility management
• Ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met
• Set the tone for the fun, family environment in the restaurant
