Support the General Manager in leading daily operations to deliver exceptional guest service, achieve sales and profit goals, and maintain operational excellence. As a Assistant Manager, you’ll help oversee all aspects of restaurant performance from staffing and training to inventory control and guest satisfaction, while upholding Arby’s values, policies, and high standards of quality. You’ll serve as a key leadership partner, ensuring smooth operations and a positive, team-focused culture that drives results.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain a fully staffed restaurant with friendly, positive, and service-oriented team members who take pride in providing an exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure every guest leaves happy by resolving concerns promptly and coaching your team to deliver Quality, Friendliness, Cleanliness, Accuracy, and Speed of Service every shift.
- Purchase and manage food, beverages, and supplies; oversee preparation to ensure every product meets Arby’s high standards for taste, safety, and presentation.
- Follow daily operating systems to maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready restaurant that consistently provides top-tier food and service.
- Support achievement of the restaurant’s Annual Operating Plan by controlling costs, managing labor, and driving sales growth.
- Protect the safety of employees and guests by enforcing all Arby’s safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
- Operate according to established performance, profit, and operational standards outlined in the Operations Standards Manual.
- Ensure all POP materials are posted accurately and on time according to the Marketing Calendar.
- Complete AMTP on time and use SMTP effectively to coach, develop, and prepare team members and shift leaders for advancement opportunities.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of restaurant equipment and ensure preventive maintenance is performed regularly.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using all management systems to provide historical data that supports planning, forecasting, and profitability.
- Implement all marketing plans accurately and on schedule to increase sales and drive repeat visits.
- Inspire your team with excitement, positivity, and commitment to achieving company goals and upholding Arby’s brand values.
- Train employees on cash-handling, credit-card security, and proper financial procedures to maintain a secure environment for both guests and the business.
- Participate in semi-annual performance appraisals for team members and shift managers, recognizing success and identifying growth opportunities.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to perform beyond the parameters of this position when needed to support smooth, successful operations.

Requirements
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or Shift Lead in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing daily operations
- A commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences in every interaction
- Knowledge of food safety, cash handling, and basic inventory management procedures
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members toward success
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

- Open availability and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
