Job summary
Camp Bow Wow Fort Mill is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to help lead our team and ensure exceptional care for canine campers and outstanding service for their parents.
You will partner with the Camp Manager to oversee daily operations, coach staff, and uphold safety and service standards in a fast-paced environment. This role offers opportunities for growth within a growing pet care company.
Qualifications
- Supervisory or management experience in retail, hospitality, veterinary, daycare, or service industry preferred.
- Experience working with dogs is strongly preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong customer service background.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable coaching employees and holding team members accountable.
- Positive attitude with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn reservation software.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of dog daycare, boarding, and grooming services.
- Lead, coach, and motivate Camp Counselors and Guest Service Representatives.
- Train new employees and reinforce safety and customer service standards.
- Ensure health, safety, and well-being of every dog in our care.
- Monitor dog playgroups and proper handling and behavior management.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and confidently.
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and daily staffing needs.
- Monitor facility cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Support inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Help achieve business goals through retail sales, add-on services, memberships, and package sales.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Step into leadership when Camp Manager is unavailable.
