White House | Black Market, Inc. in Columbia, SC is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering a seamless, personalized customer experience.

You will help foster an inviting environment that reflects our culture of hospitality and empower associates to excel. You’ll drive sales, coach staff, and manage daily operations while maintaining visual standards and inventory processes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and creating a seamless customer experience. This position helps foster a welcoming environment—for both associates and customers—that enables us to create memorable, personalized experiences that reflect our culture of hospitality.

You'll bring to the role

• Passion for our brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
