Job summary

Cafua Management Company in Chicopee, MA is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in building a capable team and delivering friendly guest experiences and strong top-line results.

You will help recruit, train, and develop crew and shift leaders, ensure brand standards and food safety, manage schedules, control costs, and drive sales while maintaining a guest-first culture.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Able to count money and make change.
• Lift at least 30 lbs.
• Stand 6+ hours daily.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fluent in English.

Job description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in their efforts to develop a team of dedicated people delivering great and friendly guest experiences and profitable top line sales. They assist in the development of Crew and Shift Leaders and fulfil accountabilities assigned by the Restaurant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assist to recruit, hire, onboard and develop employees, maintain agreed upon staffing levels for the projected sales of the restaurant
• Communicate job expectations to employees and ensure all training is completed per company guidelines
• Hold team members accountable for their behavior and performance, addressing concerns promptly
• Create and maintain a guest first culture in the restaurant
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation guidelines; comply with all applicable laws
• Ensure Brand standards, recipes and systems are executed including Red Book responsibilities
• Help prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and guest service standards
• Review guest feedback and restaurant assessment results and implement action plans to drive system improvements
• Control costs to help maximise profitability
• Adhere to security and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrate competency in weekly inventory process and analysis
• Demonstrate competency in writing effective crew schedules and monitoring labour performance daily
• Execute new product roll‑outs including team training, marketing and sampling
• Drive sales goals and track results
