Job summary

Ritual Coffee in San Francisco is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead a team of 10–15 staff and support the Cafe Manager in daily operations. You will foster a welcoming culture, uphold service standards, and mentor baristas to grow professionally.

The role requires emotional intelligence, hands-on leadership, and a passion for coffee. This is a regular full-time on-site position with opportunities to contribute across shifts in our busy cafes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in food service required.
• High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members.
• Passion for coffee and people; self-starter mindset.
• Proficient with Google Drive, spreadsheets, and general tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–15 staff alongside the Cafe Manager.
• Contribute to culture and business growth using our Culture Guide.
• Participate in improvement committees and projects as needed.
• Oversee culture management processes and staff mentorship.
• Ensure clear cross-department communication and ambassadorial role for Ritual.
• Provide bi-weekly feedback and developmental reviews to staff.
