Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Deliver product by car and then to customer door; deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery.
- Must pass a background check and have open availability.

Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Ability to train and lead.
Essential Functions/Skills
- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator); make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Maintain cost controls.
- Navigate a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above; sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks performed standing; walking on ceramic tile/linoleum; work surfaces 36–48 in. high.
- Walking: Short distances, short durations; delivery personnel travel between store and vehicle and to customer locations.
- Sitting: Paperwork normally at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Bulk product deliveries twice a week; unloading by hand truck; cases up to 50 lb.
- Carrying: Large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of dough (~12 lb); during delivery carry pizzas, sides, beverages.
- Driving: Deliver pizzas within designated area; may make several deliveries per shift.
- Pushing: Move trays on dollies; up to 7.5 lb force required.
- Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders to change prices, wash walls, perform maintenance; sometimes five flights of stairs.
- Reaching: Up, down, forward; occasionally above 72 in. to operate ovens, change sign prices, lift/lower objects; also down to scoop cornmeal, wash dishes; forward to obtain toppings, clean, answer phones.
- Hand tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous use of hands.
