Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations focused on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory, scheduling, safety, and teamwork.

You will supervise 4–12 staff, help plan events and promotions, coordinate training, and assist with purchasing and inventory to ensure smooth restaurant operation.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in restaurant operations, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication with all levels of team members; computer knowledge desirable.
• Ability to work in all areas of the restaurant and lift up to 30 pounds.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
