Job summary

Jersey Mike's in Utah is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager and lead daily restaurant operations while building a positive, high-performing team.

You will coach, onboard new employees, oversee scheduling, ensure food quality and safety, and strive for exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in restaurant management or supervision.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends.

• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations with the General Manager.
• Coach and motivate team members.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Lead shifts while maintaining standards for food quality, cleanliness, and guest service.
• Monitor labor, productivity, and food quality throughout each shift.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving deliveries, and controlling food costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and operating standards.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and create positive resolutions.
• Support scheduling, daily operations, and restaurant performance goals.
• Open and close the restaurant as needed.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, accountable, team-first culture.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Manager, you'll partner with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations while building a positive, high-performing team.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or customer service environment preferred
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must meet applicable age requirements for operating certain equipment, including slicer equipment, where required by state or local regulations
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided through training if applicable
