Shell Mobility & Convenience - Timewise in the Houston area is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a busy store. You will ensure prompt, courteous service, handle daily store paperwork, address safety and maintenance issues, and supervise recruitment and training of new employees.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the facility during your shift or in a manager’s absence, with a focus on image, profitability and team performance.

SUMMARY:

Responsiblefor a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: prompt andcourteous servicetoall guests, dailystorepaperwork, addressing safety and maintenance issues, inventory dutiesand the recruiting and training of new employees.The Assistant Manager isresponsible for theefficient and profitable operation of the facilityduring an assignedshift or in amanager’s absence.

ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:including andfollowing (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Continuouslyworktomaintainandimproveimage,profitabilityandefficiency offacility andemployees.Assistant Managers will typically-workthe second shift,2:00PMto 10:00PM but must beflexible. Handle's guest complaintsandproblems.
• Consultswithmanager concerning disciplinaryactionandpromotions.Assumes immediate responsibilityto correct infractions and provide direction.
• Providesguestserviceinkeepingwiththeoperation standards of thecompany.
• Usescashregisterandchargecardmachinestototal guest purchases quickly and efficiently.Sells and redeems lottery tickets.Sells moneyorders.
• Stocksandrotatesmerchandiseonshelves,incoolers,displaycasesandfreezers, counters or tables.Arrangedisplays to promotesales.Stamps prices on merchandise when necessary.Receive vendors1:1per company policy.
• Accountableforaccurateandresponsiblehandlingofallmoneysreceivedanddisbursed. during a respective shift.Prepares required forms and reports for cash and inventory control during shift.
• Understands,operates,cleansand maintainsthe facilityandall itsequipmentin a safe and efficient manner in keeping with the operating standards of the company.
• Preparesandrecordsallpayroll andhumanresources information accuratelyandtimely. Complies with employee and guest safety regulations.Understands all general rules, company operating standards-and policies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

MATHEMATICALSKILLS: Ability to accurately add,subtract, multiply and divide, calculate percentages anddiscounts.Must be abletounderstand and perform cashand inventory control procedures and basic accounting functions.

CERTIFICATES,LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Valid Texas Driver's License and TABC license.
