Job summary

Taco Bell in Southaven, MS is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to provide management coverage during operating hours and supervise unit operations. You will train employees, address guest service needs, and model professional skills to ensure cleanliness, hospitality, product quality and speed of service.

The AGM will oversee shifts, staffing, scheduling, and daily inventories, while upholding company standards and safe operations, and coordinating with HR on issues.

Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) provides additional management coverage during operating hours and directly supervises operations at a Taco Bell unit. The AGM is accountable for the organized, efficient, and profitable operation of the restaurant by meeting mandatory cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, building maintenance, product quality, and speed of service standards. They perform hands‑on operational work to train employees, address guest service needs, and model appropriate skills and behaviors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and accurately take their orders.
  • Prepare and package food and drink products according to restaurant standards.
  • Operate cash registers, process payments, and provide change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant, including back‑of‑house, lobby, and restrooms.
  • Assist with food prep and dishwashing as needed.
  • Restock inventory and supplies.
  • Manage shifts to ensure fair employee treatment and compliance with workplace laws and regulations.
  • Offer ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop Taco Bell employees.
  • Address safety concerns and report serious issues to management and HR.
  • Conduct daily food‑safety and prep audits.
  • Perform daily inventory reviews and share responsibility for cash procedures.
  • Assist with schedule creation and deploy the team appropriately.
  • Monitor speed of service, resolve bottlenecks to meet goals.
  • Monitor inventory and food preparation to adhere to company standards.
  • Manage daily inventory, deliveries, openings, closings, and staffing adjustments.
  • Analyze sales, labor, inventory, and controllable expenses; take corrective action to meet margins and sales targets.
  • Maintain responsibilities for cash procedures, bank deposits, safe opening/closing, and audits.
  • Assist RGM with employee timekeeping and payroll procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong preference for internal promote who has completed mandatory learning zone training.
  • High school diploma or GED mandatory.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a shift management or supervisory role, preferably in service.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have open availability for flexible hours and all shifts.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude.
  • Must maintain good hygiene.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be punctual.
  • Must demonstrate ability to maintain financial controls and coach employees.
  • Must possess positive, friendly, courteous attitude.
