About the Job

The Assistant Manager position will first and foremost ensure the safety and security of dogs, customers, and staff. This role is integral to supporting camp operations, driving sales, maintaining a strong community presence, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a fast-paced service-based environment, emphasizing team management, operational oversight, and sales excellence.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of all hourly employees
  • Conduct recruiting interviews for potential team members and participate in onboarding processes.
  • Supervise employee orientation, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations
  • Keep a pulse on the Counselors which includes morale, attitude and ways to improve the overall CBW atmosphere
  • Assist the Owner/Manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, filling in shifts as needed and overseeing/assisting with pet care as needed.
  • Ensures checklists and schedules are followed by all staff. Help facilitate work and time off scheduling of all Counselors.
  • Oversee facility upkeep/operations: to include sweeping & mopping as needed, cabin deep-cleansing, minor facility maintenance, miscellaneous cleansing, etc.
  • Maintain organizational standards by ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and adherence to company policies
  • Addressing customer complaints and resolving problems.
  • Inventory management.
  • Handle point of sale system issues, adding new inventory, maintaining accurate pricing, and addressing open invoices.
  • Assist with meeting Camp's sales objectives and company goals.
  • Community outreach and marketing events.
  • Lead and motivate the front desk team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Support the enrichment program through developing a monthly calendar and seeking new and novel ideas to engage pups and parents.
Essential Skills
  • Time Management and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic technical knowledge of point of sale systems and office products.
Requirements

Availability

Full time or part time, hourly position. Must be able to work varying shift(s) per week (6:30am to 7:30pm) and have open availability every day of the week. Camps are open 7 days a week, so weekends and holidays are required but time off is permitted with advance notice.
