Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. You will support the Store Manager in daily stationstore operations, staff supervision, and merchandising while upholding high standards and fast, friendly service.

This role requires leadership, recruiting capabilities, and experience handling food. A high school or college degree is preferred and flexibility for day/evening/weekend shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is required or preferred.
• Supervisor or management experience is preferred.
• Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring skills help.
• Experience handling food is a plus.
• High School/College Degree(s) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with oversight of the Stationstore operations.
• Help with hiring, supervising and working with staff to accomplish daily tasks, bookkeeping and merchandising.
• Maintain high standards and provide fast, friendly service to customers.
• Provide regular and predicable onsite attendance.
• Execute our food program standards and quality expectations.
• Care for customers and lead by example for staff.
• Demonstrate urgency, patience and leadership.
• Lead a team, recruitment, delegation, motivation, planning and communication.

Your key responsibilities

• You will assist the Store Manager with oversight of the Stationstore operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
• Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
• Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
• Grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands. This handwork requires eye-hand coordination, and may require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs

Hiring Range: $15.00 to $18.50
