Smoothie King is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Owner in leading the team to deliver an exceptional Guest Experience while upholding brand standards. The AM will participate in all store operations and help drive performance.

The role emphasizes hiring, training, scheduling, and ensuring food safety, cash handling, and community outreach through local marketing. ServSafe certification is preferred for applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a shift lead in a restaurant or retail setting.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Owner with hiring, developing, and leading the team to deliver a great guest experience.
• Use tools like P&L, Daily Business Review, Cash & Deposit Log, and inventory/scheduling systems to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop local store marketing plans and support brand initiatives through community outreach.
• Collaborate to deliver quality smoothies and healthy products, monitor KPIs, and address issues with the General Manager.
• Manage store cash activities and ensure accurate deposits.
• Ensure food safety compliance and maintain store cleanliness and equipment upkeep.

The Assistant Manager (AM) will contribute to Smoothie King’s success by assisting the Owner in leading his/her team to create and maintain an exceptional Guest Experience while upholding brand standards, as well as modeling and acting in accordance with our mission and core values. The Assistant Manager is involved in all areas of store operations, which include:

• Assist the Owner with hiring, developing, and leading the team at your store to provide a great guest experience and fulfill our mission to inspire people to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
• Use operational tools such as Profit and Loss Statement, Daily Business Review, Cash & Deposit Log, and Data Central scheduling and inventory management tools to achieve operational excellence.
• Assist the Owner in developing local store marketing plans to support brand initiatives, including initiating community outreach through marketing and special events.
• Collaborate with the Owner to deliver the best smoothies and healthy retail products to your community. Review store environment and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and partner with the General Manager to address accordingly.
• Manage cash activities for the store (daily deposits, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines in your store at all times; ensure all Team Members are in compliance as well.
• Champion and embody our culture, mission, and core values.
• Ensure and maintain store cleanliness and upkeep, including monthly inspections, systems reviews, and coordinating the update/replacement of damaged equipment or facilities.
• Drive implementation of company programs through action planning and inspiring teams to meet operational standards.
• Communicate all marketing strategies and promotions in the store to the team, ensuring proper execution to drive results.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a shift lead in a restaurant or similar type of retail customer service business.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic POS and computer functions
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and the community, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work the hours needed to run your store effectively, which might include a variety of days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• ServSafe Certification.
