GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced convenience store. You will support the Store Manager, run the register, coach team members, and help hire, train, and lead a customer-focused staff.

The role requires open availability (weekends/holidays) and a willingness to work second or third shifts. You will manage inventory, scheduling, and basic financial tasks while ensuring a clean, welcoming store experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Open availability required, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18+ years old (AR) and able to work second or third shifts.
• Pre-employment screenings (drug test and background check) are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Coach and motivate the team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock levels appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.

• Open Availability You must be available to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Reliable Transportation You must have a valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
• Physical Readiness Comfortable with tasks such as cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas like pumps.
• Minimum Age Requirement
  • 18+ years old in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO
  • 21+ years old in all other states
• Communication Skills Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Pass Pre-Employment Screenings Drug test and background check required.
• Willing to Learn Especially in Tennessee, where Topshelf Manager Training is required.
• Certification Must have (or be able to obtain obtain) a Food Safety Certification
