Job summary

Soma in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Polaris Fashion Place store to lead a team and deliver a customer‑centered experience. This role supports the Store Manager in driving sales, coaching associates, and ensuring brand standards on the sales floor and in stockrooms.

You'll be responsible for developing people, managing daily operations, and maintaining visual standards while upholding policies and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

About the role

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and creating a seamless customer experience. This position helps foster a welcoming environment—for both associates and customers—that enables us to create memorable, personalized experiences that reflect our culture of hospitality.

• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.

You’ll bring to the role Passion for our brand, fashion, and empowering confidence. Must be at least 18 years old. 3 years of retail management experience preferred. Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays. A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative. Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
