Job summary

Bubble Down Car Wash is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our fast-growing team in Clearwater. You will support the Site Manager daily, supervise staff, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving membership growth.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of leadership in customer-facing roles, strong communication, and hands-on coaching. You will manage operations outdoors, handle basic POS tasks, and ensure safety and a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate a high-performing team.
• Passion for customer service and sales, with upselling or membership growth experience.
• Adaptability to outdoor work environments and varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Office, etc.).
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs+ as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth site performance.
• Lead by example in customer service, guide customers through the wash, resolve issues, and build loyalty.
• Coach team members on delivering great customer interactions and converting them into memberships.
• Train, coach, and develop staff to uphold Bubble Down's high standards.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Stay actively engaged on-site and drive basic site errands with a company or personal vehicle.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Site Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient site performance
• Lead by example in customer service — guide customers through the wash, resolve issues, and build loyalty
• Coach team members on delivering great customer interactions and converting them into membership sales
• Train, coach, and develop staff to uphold Bubble Down's high standards
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Stay actively engaged on-site — this is a hands-on leadership role
• Occasionally drive a company vehicle or your own personal vehicle to run basic site errands (e.g., picking up supplies) as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, or service industry preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a high-performing team
• Passion for customer service and sales, with proven experience in upselling or membership growth
• Adaptability to outdoor work environments and varying weather conditions
• Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs+ as needed
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record — this role occasionally requires driving a company or personal vehicle to run site errands (e.g., supply runs)
• Must pass a criminal background check and MVR check — this role requires driving

Preferred

• Prior management experience in a service or retail environment
• Experience with POS systems and troubleshooting

Compensation

$19.00 – $24.00 hourly, plus commission opportunities tied to membership sales.

This position requires a criminal history check and a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, conducted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law. Results are reviewed individually against the responsibilities of the role.
