Job summary

Anchor Point Management Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager for a Taco Bell unit in California. The AGM will supervise operations during shifts, train staff, and ensure cleanliness, hospitality, and product quality while driving profitability.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Internal promotion preferred after completing required training.
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 months in a shift management or supervisory role.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
  • Open availability and ability to work flexible hours and all shifts.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a can-do attitude.
  • Good hygiene and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and take orders accurately.
  • Prepare and package food and drinks to restaurant standards.
  • Operate cash registers, process payments, and provide change.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restaurant, back of house, lobby, and restrooms.
  • Assist with food prep and dishwashing as needed.
  • Restock inventory and supplies.
  • Manage shifts to ensure fair employee treatment and legal compliance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Hire and develop Taco Bell employees and onboard new staff.
  • Address safety concerns and report issues to manager/HR.
  • Conduct daily food safety and prep audits.
  • Monitor inventory and cash procedures, including daily cash handling.
  • Assist with schedule creation and proper team deployment.
  • Track speed of service and resolve bottlenecks to meet targets.
  • Monitor daily inventory and compliance with company standards.

Salary Range: $22.00 - $23.50 Hourly

Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) provides additional management coverage of operating hours and direct supervision of operations to a Taco Bell unit. Like the Restaurant General Manager, the AGM is accountable for the organized, efficient, and profitable operation of their restaurant by achieving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, building maintenance, product quality and speed of service. The AGM directly performs hands‑on operational work on an ongoing basis to train employees, respond to guest service needs, or otherwise role‑model appropriate skills and behaviors in their restaurant.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and accurately take their orders.
  • Prepare and package food and drink products according to restaurant standards.
  • Operate cash registers, process payments, and provide change to guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including back of house (the line), lobby, and restrooms.
  • Assist with food prep and dishwashing as needed.
  • Restock inventory and supplies.
  • Manage shifts to ensure fair employee treatment and compliance with workplace laws and regulations.
  • Offer ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Find, hire, and develop Taco Bell employees and guide new team members during onboarding.
  • Assist with any safety concerns in the workplace.
  • Report any serious issues to the manager and HR as needed.
  • Conduct food safety and prep audits daily.
  • Conduct daily inventory monitoring and share responsibility for cash procedures.
  • Assist with schedule creation and deploying the team correctly.
  • Monitor speed of service and resolve bottlenecks to achieve goals.
  • Monitor inventory and food preparation on a daily basis to adhere to company standards.
  • Be responsible for daily inventory, deliveries, restaurant opening and closing, and daily adjustments to shift staffing and crew deployment.
  • Analyze sales, labor, inventory, and controllable expenses on a continual basis and take corrective action to meet or achieve margins and sales targets.
  • Maintain day‑to‑day responsibility for cash procedures such as bank deposits, making change, opening and closing the safe, and audits.
  • Assist the RGM to maintain proper time‑keeping and payroll procedures.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • Strong preference for an internal promote who has completed all required learning zone training and certifications.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Possess a minimum of 6 months in a shift management or supervisory role, preferably in a service‑related business.
