Job summary

IHOP is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run a busy casual restaurant profitably, delivering strong customer service, controlling costs, and upholding brand standards in every shift.

You will support the Restaurant Manager, lead a team of crew and supervisors, train staff, monitor safety and cleanliness, manage inventory and scheduling, and drive sales while maintaining a welcoming, efficient dining room and drive-thru experience.

Job Description

As the Assistant Manager, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in operating the restaurant profitably within the established practices and procedures of Company Operations. This position is responsible for cost control, customer service, restaurant and employee appearance, building sales, maximizing profits, and employee development.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• A High School Diploma is preferred.
• Proficiency in POS systems.
• Current alcohol and food certifications that meet state requirements are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
