Keiser University seeks an Assistant Librarian to support the library’s teaching and research mission. The role involves assisting with acquiring, organizing, managing, and cataloging materials, and training patrons in using library resources and services.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and has experience with business or social sciences settings, including reference services and information technology teaching with faculty.
Assistant Librarians are responsible for helping the librarian with acquiring, organizing, managing, distributing, and providing training on the use of informational resources and services. Assistant Librarians help librarians ensure that the library provides all of the necessary resources and services to meet the educational program requirements for the educational programs offered by the university. The Assistant Librarian is responsible for assisting the patrons in use of library services and helps librarians acquire and catalog materials by performing the following duties of the Keiser library system. The Assistant Library administers programs of library services by performing routine technical/clerical procedures and/or customer information within the library with regular supervision and is expected to use limited independent judgment.
