The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking an Assistant Judicial District Manager II (NS) to assist the Judicial District Manager, supervise CPPO staff, and oversee a portion of the unit's activities. The role includes leading interviews for vacancies, auditing staff, and coordinating workflows in a 40-hour workweek.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and four years of Probation/Parole experience, or an equivalent combination, plus one year in a supervisory role.

The Assistant Judicial District Manager may work a reduced CPPO caseload and assist the Judicial District Manager in managing a judicial district. Position may serve as lead interviewer for vacant positions and will supervise a part of the unit to include direct line supervision of CPPO's and clerical personnel. Position will perform audits of CPPO's and conduct training of new CPPO's which includes but is not limited to assigning cases, coordinating workflow and schedules. Position will be involved with disciplinary, dispute and employee performance management and will assist with conducting internal investigations. Incumbent is responsible for various reports to include but not limited to firearm inspections and inventory.
This role requires frequent travel, including occasional overnight stays. The candidate must be able to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle for work-related tasks, including during long hours both day and night, and in adverse weather conditions.
Salary Range: $55,221.00-$96,639.00

The Division of Community Supervision (DCS) is responsible for overseeing supervision of adult offenders on probation, parole, or post-release. The DCS mission is to ensure public safety while helping offenders make positive changes and successfully complete their supervision. DCS collaborates closely with the NC Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission, the court system as well as other state agencies, and community partners, particularly those addressing mental health, substance use and re-entry issues faced by our returning citizens. DCS is also responsible for the supervision of offenders who transfer from other states through the Interstate Compact program and has oversight of the Community Service Work Program.

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience as a Probation/Parole Officer; or Corrections Administrator in a technical or administrative capacity involved with the application and interpretation of policies and the development of procedures in assigned area and one year of experience as Chief Probation/Parole Officer, Corrections Supervisor, or Corrections Program Administrator in a consultative capacity OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. The Bachelor's degree is a requirement. There is no equivalency for the four-year degree requirement based on N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
