Pecky Interior Design is a design-forward studio specializing in thoughtful, functional, and aesthetically cohesive interior spaces. The team focuses on creating environments that reflect each client’s lifestyle, architectural context, and project goals.

Projects may range from residential to light commercial, with an emphasis on quality materials, curated finishes, and distinctive furnishings. Collaboration, attention to detail, and client service are central to how the studio approaches every engagement.

Role Description

The Assistant Interior Designer will support the design team in all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept development to final installation. The role involves helping develop construction drawings, coordinating with vendors and contractors, maintaining project documentation, and supporting site visits and measurements.

Responsibilities Include

• Assisting with space planning
• Preparing presentations and mood boards
• Sourcing FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment)
• Organizing samples and finish selections

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including finishes, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Ability in Space Planning and Architecture-related coordination to support functional and code-conscious layouts.
• Experience assisting with Construction Drawings or design documentation for interiors projects.
• Proficiency with design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation software (Canva, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with clients, vendors, and project team members.

Educational background in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; relevant internship or studio experience preferred. Willingness to work on-site in Sarasota, FL, including occasional local travel to project locations.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sarasota, FL, requiring close collaboration with the lead designers and consistent presence in the studio and on project locations.
