Job summary

The Goddard School in Ashland, VA is seeking an Assistant Teacher to create a safe, nurturing learning environment and support young children’s social and emotional growth. You will work with the lead teacher and the team to build positive family relations and contribute to a dynamic educational program.

A High school diploma is required; an Associate or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Candidates should be dependable, adaptable, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
