The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc. is seeking an Assistant House Manager in Litchfield County, CT. This role blends hands-on care with supervisory duties to ensure safe, high-quality residential services for individuals with I/DD.

As an Assistant House Manager, you’ll use your experience in direct care to support, guide, and empower your team to deliver the highest quality care and service possible.This role combines leadership and hands-on support — giving you the chance to develop your supervisory skills while continuing to make a direct impact on the lives of the individuals you serve.What You’ll DoAs an Assistant House Manager, you’ll work closely with the House Manager to ensure the smooth, safe, and successful daily operation of the residential program.This role combines hands-on direct care with team leadership — giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals while guiding and supporting your coworkers.Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays, to ensure consistent support and oversight of the homeDirect Care ResponsibilitiesYou’ll provide compassionate, hands-on support to the individuals served, helping them live as independently and fully as possible. You’ll spend part of your time in direct care and part in administrative and supervisory responsibilities. You must be able to:Lift or transfer individuals, push wheelchairs, and assist with mobility as needed (up to 50 lbs or ¼ body weight).Walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs as part of daily routines.Remain engaged, attentive, and supportive throughout the shift.Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and complete documentation accurately.Work in residential and community environments, both indoors and outdoors.Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
