Job summary

AC Hotel Portsmouth by Marriott, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking an engaging Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. You will work with the Food & Beverage Director and General Manager to coordinate, supervise, and direct all property food and beverage operations while controlling costs and driving guest and associate satisfaction.

This role requires 2 years food and beverage management experience, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 2 years food and beverage management experience (hotel preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure.
• TIPS and ServSafe certification within 30 days if expired.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with common computer software and POS systems.
• Willing to work 7-day rotation including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all property food and beverage operations.
• Control food and beverage costs while driving guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales teams and Hotel GMs.
• Train and support F&B team; ensure performance to standards.
• Set departmental targets and schedules.
• Ensure sequence of service standards are met.
• Maintain inventory controls and assist with orders.
• Audit bar operations and cost controls; monitor liquor sales.
• Develop menus with the F&B team.
• Conduct regular departmental meetings.
