• To organize, coordinate and promote a comprehensive athletic program in the assigned sport.
• Provide effective leadership that will ensure a positive learning environment and emphasize academics.
• Demonstrate high ethics, professionalism and be a positive role model for students.

Responsibilities

• Communicate policies of the team, school, and School Board to participants.
• Submit eligibility rosters and participant information as required.
• Handle public relations and publicity for the athletic program.
• Establish communication procedures with parents/guardians.
• Plan, organize and implement fundamentals, strategies and conditioning.
• Ensure safety and supervision for all students and inspect facilities/equipment.
• Maintain accurate performance records and assist in awards programs.
• Provide first aid and manage injury procedures; respond to emergencies.
