Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling, LLC in Midlothian, TX is seeking an Assistant Grade Manager to lead on-the-floor tire grading operations, ensure production flow, quality, and safety, and bridge the gap between grading teams and leadership.

The role focuses on hands-on supervision, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while upholding OSHA standards and company policies; prior lead experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in tire grading, recycling, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Prior production or yard experience required.
  • Previous lead or informal leadership experience preferred (not required).
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds routinely.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside team members in rough and final tire grading to support daily production output
  • Assist in coordinating daily grading activities to meet production schedules and priorities
  • Support trailer flow and yard coordination to maintain operational efficiency
  • Monitor product quality during grading and elevate issues to management as needed
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining inventory accuracy during daily operations
  • Serve as a point of contact for team members on the floor for questions and direction
  • Reinforce daily work expectations and safe work practices
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members on grading processes and safety procedures
  • Support communication between grading team, operations, and leadership
  • Identify operational issues and bring forward solutions or concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations

Job Summary:

The Assistant Grade Manager supports daily grading operations by working directly on the floor to ensure production flow, quality standards, and safety expectations are met. This role serves as a hands-on lead, assisting with rough and final grading, supporting workforce direction, and ensuring day-to-day activities are completed efficiently. The position bridges communication between the grading team and leadership while helping maintain inventory accuracy and operational consistency.

  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and consistency
  • Problem-solving ability in day-to-day operational situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds routinely and perform manual labor
  • Ability to work in varying weather and industrial conditions
Education and Experience:
  • Experience in tire grading, recycling, or industrial operations preferred
  • Prior experience working in a production or yard environment required
  • Previous lead or informal leadership experience preferred (not required)
