Job summary

The PGA TOUR-affiliated club at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Potomac, MD seeks an Assistant Golf Professional I to assist with daily golf shop and operation management. You will support staff, guest services, and tournament activities, ensuring top-quality experiences for members and guests.

Qualified candidates hold a relevant bachelor’s degree, 3–5 years of golf experience with supervisory responsibilities, and PGA Apprentice/Master status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Three to five years of progressive professional golf experience.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Working knowledge of golf course operations and practices.
• Registered PGA apprentice or current PGA Member in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of golf shop and golf operation staff.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of staff.
• Support PGA TOUR players, members and guests to ensure a smooth golf experience.
• Oversee golf shop operations during peak periods and maintain service standards.
• Contribute to employee performance reviews and development plans.
• Assist with labor management and budget planning for golf operations.
