Job summary

Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Killen, AL, seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to plan, coordinate, and execute daily maintenance operations. You will work closely with the Director of Golf Course Maintenance to ensure peak course conditioning through scheduling and staff supervision.

The role requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience with Bentgrass greens management in the Southeast. Health benefits and relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Soil Science, or related field, with at least two years of experience.
Experience in Bentgrass Greens Management in the Southeast.
Must obtain and maintain a state pesticide applicator license within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

Supervise a maintenance staff of 20+ employees.
Develop and manage daily departmental work schedules.
Calibrate sprayers and fertilizer spreaders.
Assist with pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Oversee irrigation and drainage systems and course prep.
Lead long-term course improvement projects.
