Job summary

Kulm Public School is seeking an Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach for the varsity program. The coach will assist the head coach, supervise all practices and games, and help develop players in a positive, competitive environment.

The season runs up to 14 weeks beginning in November. Coaches with students in grades 7-12 must complete education requirements. Background checks will be conducted. Questions may be directed to the district leadership.

The Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rebel Coop has an opening for an assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach. Applicants must possess skills to teach young people, specifically the skills necessary to be successful in basketball.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and advanced gameplay.
• Ability to develop both individual player skills and build a cohesive team culture.
• Organizational skills to effectively manage practices, games, and team logistics.
• Effective communication with high school students, parents, coaches, and other school staff.
• Commitment to building a positive, competitive, and flexible program.
• Willingness to support and align with the overall basketball program at all levels.
• Responsible for accompanying, supervising, and directing the team during all games and practices.
• Assist the head coach and take direction from the head coach of the program.
• Demonstrates and models good sportsmanship; upholds high standards of conduct and respect on and off the court.

The season will run up to 14 weeks starting in November but is dependent upon practice and game schedules. All coaches working with students in grades 7-12 are required to complete coaches’ education requirements.
