Job summary

Applegreen seeks an Assistant General Manager in Framingham to support daily operations and drive performance across the store. You will lead teams, ensure service quality, and partner with the GM to uphold brand and safety standards.

Responsibilities include staff coaching, inventory checks, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment while meeting business objectives and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role requires flexible scheduling and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quick-service restaurant or similar management.
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with business sense.
• Flexible, open work schedule.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign work, coach shifts, and develop teams.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
• Motivate staff during times of low morale.
• Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize relations with brand/landlord/labor.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Manage cash handling daily and deliver reports as directed.
• Address customer needs and build positive relationships.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with spot counts.

What You’ll Do

The Assistant General Manager helps the General Manager to ensure that day-to-day business operations run smoothly. This position provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn important management skills and practice judgment and discretion skills.

Role Priorities And Responsibilities

• Responsible for confidently delivering performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure the day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on store level operation performance, coaching, and developing shifts supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills
• Addressing issues in a timely fashion
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains an awareness of all applicable brand standards and all procedures and protocols to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensures that the restaurant always looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensures cash management is accurate and processed daily, reports are delivered as per company directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
• Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
