Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Marlton, NJ to support the General Manager in daily operations. The role targets entry-level managers developing essential management skills, judgement, and discretion in a fast-paced retail/food environment.

You will lead a team, uphold brand standards, and drive customer satisfaction while gaining hands-on experience in store performance, coaching, and shift supervision.

• Strong leadership and management capabilities with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff, assign tasks, and coach shift supervisors.
• In the GM's absence, perform essential duties to keep store operations running smoothly.
• Motivate staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure store looks inviting and clean.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and daily reporting per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Maintain inventory data accuracy through spot counts and checks.

What You’ll Do

The Assistant General Manager helps the General Manager to ensure that day-to-day business operations run smoothly. This position provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn important management skills and practice judgment and discretion skills.

ROLE PRIORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for confidently delivering performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure the day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on store level operation performance, coaching, and developing shifts supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills
• Addressing issues in a timely fashion
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains an awareness of all applicable brand standards and all procedures and protocols to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensures that the restaurant always looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensures cash management is accurate and processed daily, reports are delivered as per company directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
• Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
