Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily center operations in the General Manager’s absence. You will allocate time and resources, lead a team to ensure excellent customer care, and perform tasks such as installing hitches and brake controllers.

You will also participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University. The role requires leadership and customer service experience, plus a willingness to work varied shifts in Traverse City, MI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Leadership experience in any form
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work a variety of shifts

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
