Summary of Job Scope and Expectations

The Manager is the key person in the restaurant, ensuring profitable operation while maintaining a strong reputation and aligning with the company's 2020 Vision.

Essential Functions

• Deliver strong people results.
• Hire, train, retrain and evaluate the team based on defined roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure all staff understand their roles, responsibilities, and how they contribute to the restaurant.
• Maintain high performance standards and ensure staff are committed to them.
• Communicate company values and the 2020 vision (Mission, Values, Panda Way, Panda Environment).
• Delegate and hold staff accountable to their roles.
• Motivate staff, keep them engaged, and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct timely performance reviews and execute improvement or disciplinary plans when necessary.
• Keep staff informed of operational updates and conduct regular pre‑shift meetings.
• Build a pipeline of promotable associates and promote them when eligible.
• Model exceptional guest experience and respond to guest comments to build loyalty.
• Address guest concerns promptly.
• Maintain ambience quality (lighting, music, furnishings, table layout, grooming).
• Ensure food and service quality, presentation and portion control.
• Maintain Company QSC and safety standards.
• Deliver strong financial results.
• Collaborate with the Concept Director to improve sales and operations.
• Control labor costs through effective scheduling, training and retention.
• Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate deposits.
• Build community presence and attract local clientele.
• Monitor and prevent voids, order mistakes, shrinkage and waste.

Qualifications

• College degree in Hospitality, Food Service, Business or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience managing a full‑service restaurant (or equivalent for General Manager). Assistant Manager: 1‑2 years experience.

Pay Range

$95,000 per year – $133,000 per year.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and experience. Panda reserves the right to modify or terminate bonus programs at any time without prior notice.
