Panera LLC in Indianapolis is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a beloved bakery-cafe and inspire a high‑performing team. You’ll partner with the General Manager to drive guest satisfaction, sales, and operations, while shaping hiring, onboarding, and team development at your location.

The role requires 1+ year in restaurant management, ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain), strong business acumen, and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant management experience.
• ServSafe certification or ability to achieve.
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts including nights and weekends.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager with key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members and energize the team.
• Manage team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals, standards, and guest service."
• Partner with GM to develop managers on processes and Panera’s values.
• Ensure guests are delighted by food, service, and team.
• Build relationships to foster long-term loyal guests.
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace and manage costs/inventory.
• Contribute to a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
