You will lead warehouse staff and drivers, ensure safety compliance, maintain inventory control, and collaborate with IT while upholding the company's professional standards and brand image.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction of the distribution center in support of Colony Tire’s/Atlantic Tire's policies & guidelines.
• Plan and direct the center’s warehouse associates and delivery drivers to achieve targets for financial performance and quality.
• Manage personnel at the distribution center for warehouse, delivery, disciplinary procedures, grievances, training and development, morale and motivation.
• Serve as the on-site inventory control expert alongside the Inventory Control Specialist.
• Communicate with IT to resolve local IT issues.
• Comply with health and safety programs (DOT, ADA and OSHA).
• Champion corporate image and protect the company brand.
• Maintain a professional image, including appearance and dress.

Role Summary

The primary and ultimate responsibility of the Assistant General Manager is to oversee all facets of warehouse & distributing operations as well as managing the day-to-day operation of the business.

• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
• Knowledge of materials, warehouse processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
