Victra is the largest Verizon authorized retailer in the United States. As an Assistant General Manager, you will lead a store team, drive sales targets, manage financials and store merchandising, and create outstanding in‑store experiences for customers.

Responsibilities

General responsibilities include daily operational tasks, coaching staff, and leading when the General Manager is away.

• Resolving customer issues and assisting with customer transactions.
• Taking direction from store leader on day‑to‑day operations.
• Setting and sharing daily/weekly/monthly goals with sales teams.
• Providing training and mentoring to deliver an outstanding customer experience by managing customer flow and store traffic.
• Identifying selling skill gaps and building development plans to help the team exceed sales metrics and quota assignments.
• Running store operations – analyzing staffing needs, reporting financial and sales data, handling cash, ensuring compliance, opening trouble tickets with Facilities/Network/IT as needed to maintain store uptime and functionality.
• Monitoring inventory by restocking shelves, maintaining device security, and managing store cleanliness.
• Leading store merchandising and planogram compliance in accordance with company expectations.
• Completing store opening and closing activities.
• Collective responsibility for attaining store targets daily, weekly and monthly.

Compensation

The national average annual salary for Assistant General Managers ranges from $43,000 to $67,000, combining a base hourly rate of $12.00 plus uncapped commission.

• Background in customer service within the retail, restaurant, or wireless industry preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a customer service or leadership role.
• Management experience in a commissions‑based sales environment.
• Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
• Ability to balance multiple opposing priorities in a multifaceted environment.
• Set goals, evaluated performance, and developed a high‑performing team.
• Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of customer service, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift ten pounds.

Training Requirements

All Assistant General Managers are required to attend and successfully complete a 4‑day New Hire University (NHU) training program within 30 days of their official start date. This class may include overnight travel at the company’s expense. All Dual General Managers must attend and complete a 3‑day General Manager University (SMU) training program within 30 days of completing NHU. Various online and computer‑based training will be required throughout employment with Victra.
