Sparks Residence Inn by Marriott in Sparks, NV is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This hands-on leader will guide teams, manage scheduling and inventory, and ensure operational excellence.

The role supports recruiting, training, and development, while upholding brand standards and safety policies. A strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and teamwork drives success.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1+ year of hotel leadership experience in a Select Service or Extended Stay property.
• Valid Drivers License is Required
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and ordering.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the hotel to ensure outstanding guest service and operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members while promoting a positive work environment.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing hotel associates, including brand and safety training.
• Help oversee scheduling, inventory, ordering, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
• Conduct or assist with team meetings and ongoing staff communication.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives and assist with group and travel agent requests.
• Perform General Manager duties in the GM's absence.
• Assist in all hotel departments as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
