Job summary

Trego-Dugan Aviation Inc in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks an experienced supervisor to assist the General Manager in daily operations, supervising aircraft cleaning, water and lavatory servicing for partner airlines, and coordinating station activities.

The role requires 3 years of supervisory aviation experience, ability to work evenings and weekends, a valid driver’s license, and passing a background check; a high school diploma is required, college preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of supervisory experience in the aviation industry.
  • Experience managing an airline base environment with over 15 flights per week.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; College preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage aircraft cleaning, water and lavatory servicing of the assigned airlines operation.
  • Represent Trego-Dugan during travel partner meetings, calls, and events and attend local airport meetings as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory paperwork retention and airline reporting.
  • Establish and maintain safety compliance of aircraft, customers, facilities, and employee working environments.
  • Establish airport/community relations and act as liaison with officials and emergency services.
  • Coordinate training and ensure training requirements are met for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal directives and security requirements; audit to ensure quality assurance.
  • Provide support to other management and cover operational needs.
  • Establish employee recognition programs for station achievements.
  • Pursue opportunities to establish contract revenue and station profitability.
  • Perform all functions of a Station Agent and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and be authorized to work in the U.S.

General Purpose Of Job

Assists the General manager in all aspects of the operation. Directs, trains, and coordinates aircraft cleaning, water and lavatory servicing of the assigned airline partner(s) operation as a working manager for Trego-Dugan Aviation. Coordinates with local Trego-Dugan Aviation management and airline partner(s) management to achieve superior performance results. Must be able to effectively communicate all airline business to Internal and external departments. Well-developed planning and organizational skills are required. Must be able to establish goals and objectives and constantly measure performance against these goals and objectives to raise the performance of the station. Lead by example, exemplifying integrity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills. Motivate to achieve results while managing people fairly and with respect. Must be totally committed to the importance of serving the customer and have an excellent customer service focus.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage aircraft cleaning, water and lavatory servicing of the assigned airlines operation.
  • Represent Trego-Dugan during all travel partner(s) meetings, conference calls, and events. Plan, host, and attend local airport meetings as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and required paperwork retention and Airline(s) reporting
  • Establish and maintain safety compliance of aircraft, customers, facilities, and employee working environments. Address issues and provide corrective action as they warrant.
  • Establish airport and local community relations as liaison with airport city officials, FAA, TSA, police and fire departments.
  • Provide needed support to the local training group as it pertains to the assigned travel partner's product or other airlines as needed. Coordinate, provide training and ensure training requirements are met for all employees, i.e., new hire, recurrent, supplemental, and local training issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal directives and security requirements. Audit to ensure quality assurance
  • Provide support to other management and fill in as needed to cover operational needs.
  • Establish employee recognition programs for station achievements, i.e., safety, performance, and revenue collection programs.
  • Work to establish contract revenue and actively pursue opportunities to ensure station profitability.
  • Perform all functions of a Station Agent
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge
  • Must have the authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986
Physical Demands

Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, climbing, reaching from ground level to overhead; possess the ability to grip objects. Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry things such as heavy objects, luggage, and packages (up to 75 pounds). Must be able to respond to audio transmitted information or alarms; must be able to distinguish color for such things as aircraft wingtip lights and aircraft instrument panel lights; may be subject to standing for long periods of time.

Work Environment

Works both indoors and outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions as well as dust and pollen; subject to a variety of mechanical, electrical, chemical, toxic waste and other safety hazards associated with or working around aircraft, vehicles, equipment, fuel etc.; subject to constant and extreme noise, strong odors, fumes and poor lighting due to working at night; possible exposure to disease due to aircraft lavatory work.

Education, Experience, and Training:

Requires 3 years of supervisory experience in the aviation industry. At least 1 year of the experience must be managing an airline base environment with over 15 flights per week. High School Diploma or Equivalent, College preferred.

Knowledge:

Thorough working knowledge of the types of aircraft used at the station. Thorough working knowledge of current FAA/TSA security directives & the procedures affecting GOA Services.

Licensing/Certification:

Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

Must successfully pass a background investigation with a fingerprint-based criminal record check in accordance with Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1542, and Airport Security, as required by the Transportation Security Administration. Must pass periodic random drug testing as required in 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 40 for safety-sensitive employees. Must be able to work a variety of assigned shifts including evenings and weekends.
