Job summary

Zuma Restaurants in Miami seeks an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations of our contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, ensuring top-tier service, quality, and guest satisfaction. You will partner with the General Manager to lead the management team and support exceptional dining experiences.

The role requires at least 3 years in a Restaurant Manager role in a high-volume, upscale setting, and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a Restaurant Manager role in a high-volume, upscale environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining high standards of hospitality, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and develop the management team and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and supply chain logistics to ensure efficient operations.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives.

As a ZumaAssistant General Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead and support the management team, drive financial performance, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:
