Job summary

Luna Grill is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a high-performing restaurant alongside the General Manager, coaching the team and maintaining hospitality and operations.

This role serves as a stepping stone to GM roles or district leadership, with a path for advancement, and includes overtime opportunities, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant management experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
• Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and calm under pressure.
• Solid understanding of FOH & BOH operations.
• Tech-savvy with POS systems, KDS, Dayforce, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations including opening, peak service, and closing procedures.
• Work in BOH weekly and as needed; fully cross-trained in all BOH positions.
• Manage schedules, breaks, and team coverage to optimize service and labor.
• Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and presentation meet Luna Grill standards.
• Coach, train, and develop team members through feedback and performance guidance.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally with a hospitality-first mindset.
• Assist the GM with labor and food cost control.
• Participate in hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Communicate company updates and operational expectations clearly to the team.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the GM is absent.

As an Assistant General Manager, you’ll step into a hands‑on leadership role right alongside your General Manager, helping run a high‑performing restaurant, coaching your team, and keeping hospitality and operations strong shift after shift. This role is a launchpad: you’ll report to your General Manager, lead the floor and the team during your shifts, and build the experience to grow into a GM role, Area/District leadership, or a position at our Restaurant Support Center. We build leaders from within at every level: Shift Leader > AGM > GM > Bench GM and beyond.
