Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. in Lake City, FL, seeks an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support dispensary staff, manage inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will help schedule bi-weekly shifts, train staff on POS and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with the General Manager to maintain compliance and a positive store culture.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year as an assistant manager or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support dispensary staff, inventory, and patient/customer relations.
• Interact with customers and patients to provide exceptional service.
• Respond to inquiries, feedback, and suggestions.
• Resolve in-store situations quickly and respectfully.
• Build bi-weekly work schedules for staff.
• Walk the floor to assist staff with products, news, and regulation changes.
• Coach and develop staff; address questions and concerns.
• Delegate tasks to Cannabis Advisors to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to communicate updates.
• Conduct interviews as directed by the GM.
• Provide training on POS System and State Inventory System.
• Oversee orders and deliveries for accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain company culture and atmosphere.
• Record dispensary activity (cash, sales, vendors, customer information).
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting dispensary staff, inventory, and patient/customer relations.
• Interact with customers and patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Respond to all customer and patient inquiries, feedback, and suggestions.
• Quickly and respectfully resolve any in-store situations that may arise.
• Build out bi-weekly work schedules for current and incoming staff.
• Regularly walk the floor and act as a resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, industry news and changes in regulation.
• Coach and develop staff; Answer staff questions, concerns or suggestions.
• Delegate tasks to Cannabis Advisors to maintain regular compliance.
• Work closely with the General Manager to communicate information to dispensary staff from the corporate retail team.
• Conduct interviews at the direction of the General Manager.
• Provide regular training to staff members on the POS System and State Inventory System.
• Oversees orders and deliveries to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries.
• Maintain company culture and atmosphere within the facility.
• Keep record of all dispensary activity including cash, sales, vendors, and customer/patient information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required.
• A minimum of 1 year as an assistant manager, or above, is required.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with staff and retail management.
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• At least 21 years of age.

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Able to stand up to 90% of the time.
