Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead our Front of House and Back of House teams. You will oversee day-to-day operations, set weekly performance goals, and ensure guests are served with high standards while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

You will help recruit, onboard, and train staff, delegate duties, resolve conflicts, and supervise opening and closing duties to support sales, profitability, and a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Support back-of-house and front-of-house teams as needed
• Recruit, onboard, and train staff to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives

• Manage opening or closing duties with the team

Job description

We are looking for a highly organized, disciplined, and professional Assistant General Manager to manage our FOH and BOH teams. The Assistant General Manager's responsibilities will include leading and overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning, and assuring completion of weekly team performance goals, ensuring customers’ needs are being met, assisting back-of-house and front-of-house teams as needed, and accomplishing all duties while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion
• Oversee the preparation of safe, delicious food while maintaining a clean, organized restaurant
• Assist in delegating responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives
• Assist in resolving internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved
• Correctly manage and assist team in completing opening or closing duties
